Liverpool Catholic Club, in conjunction with Liverpool City Council Bicentennial Celebrations, are proudly presenting the 2010 48 th Australian Barefoot Water Ski Championships. The competition is to be held on the Georges River, at Helles Park, Liverpool, NSW from Tuesday 6 th April through to Sunday 11 th April, 2010. The New South Wales Barefoot Club is welcoming Australia’s best barefoot water skiers, which include numerous present and past Australian and World Champions. Competitors aged from 8 to 60+, both male and female, will be barefooting in forwards and backwards barefoot positions, competing in Tricks, Slalom and Jump events. The Jump event will see skiers propelling themselves from a barefoot jump ramp, into the air, exceeding distances of 20 metres, to then barefoot away. The Tricks event will see Barefooters doing tricks including rope on toes, flips in the air, multiple turns on their feet, and many other breathtaking manoeuvres. Boats used will be the ever reliable Portege’s which will be supplied by Custom Ski Boats and powered by 225hp Mercury Optimax outboard motors with tow ropes supplied by Williams Australia. Spectators are most welcome. Canteen and bar facilities are available on site. Entry and parking are free.
